Practice Mod 2

Today you will be practicing making claims in order to argue a point of view. Think about what you have learned about Civil Rights, equality, racism, and diversity. Review the following information on making a claim and write your own claim (the point of view and position you will argue) about one of these topics:

1) Does racism exist today?

2) Does diversity create a better/worse society?

3) Should we strive for all people to be equal? What does equality in America look like?

4) Do we still have civil rights issues to deal with in America?

For this assignment, you will not develop the whole essay. You will use the attached graphic organizer to develop your claim thoroughly.

ASSIGNMENT 8: Make a copy of the attached Google Doc - "Making Evidence-Based Claims" and complete it. Submit through your English 11B Slate classroom.
