Does racism still exist today? This unit will explore the United States and our history of race and equality in order to better understand the world in which we all live. We will read the true story of a man, John Howard Griffin, who disguised himself as an African-American man during the pre-Civl Rights time period in the South. We will examine early racism and modern-day issues through discussions, writing, reading, and researching various aspects of this topic.
