Our WESD Help Desk has been working vigorously to set up accounts to allow our new hires to activate and access their accounts from home. In that past, you needed to set up your account from a District computer. We hope setting everything up from home will be safer and beneficial to you!
Please follow the directions below to access your account on Office 365 to set up your account from your personal computer:
1. Go to Office 365 (You may receive a redirect notice. Click the link provided)
2. Click Sign In (top right or middle of screen)
3. Enter your WESD email address (firstname.lastname@wesdschools.org) - (example: Jane.Doe@wesdschools.org)
4. Enter your default WESD password (Password1) -- This is case sensitive, the ‘P’ is upper case. (You will need to change this password and should be prompted to do so.
5. When prompted to change your password, your new password has to follow these rules:
· At least 1 upper case letter
· At least 1 lower case letter
· At least 1 number
· At least 8 total characters
· Cannot have any part of your name in it

They may ask for your Employee Number. If you are unsure of your employee number, you can find out from HR.
Microsoft Office Products include Excel (spreadsheets), Word (word processing), Outlook (email), Access (databases), PowerPoint (slideshows), One Note (digital note taking), Teams (virtual meetings, group collaboration, and Skype for Business (instant messaging)
If you are assigned a computer for work use, or using a district computer, Microsoft Office will be available for you.
Microsoft Teams (virtual meeting app) will need to be downloaded manually upon login to Office 365 (web)
Microsoft Office 365 also allows you to use Office products online, without having Office installed on your computer. Here are directions to access Microsoft Office 365 online.
Go to the employee website: www.wesdschools.org.
Click on Quick Links (top-right) and then click on Webmail
Enter your Office 365 Username (full work email address) and Password (network password)
Quick Tips:
Office 365 online has many more products than the installed office on your computer. Check them out when you can.
Each employee gets one free install of Microsoft Office on a home computer. To take advantage, go to Office.com, log in, and click "Install Office"
All substitute teachers are set up with a District e-mail account, which they are expected to check regularly for District updates. In order to set up your WESD email and ESS (personal information), you will need to be logged into a WESD computer in Human Resources or at a school site. Centricity is a program built into our district website. It allows you to log into the website, which gives you more access to information on our website. The information you will have access to will be information that outside visitors of our website will not be able to see.
Go to the employee website: www.wesdschools.org.
Click on the "Gear" icon, and then click sign in
Enter your Centricity Username (six-digit employee number) and Password (default password is Washington6)
Available approximately 1 week before your start date. This could be sooner or later based on your position, or the timing of your new hire paperwork.
If you are unsure of your employee number or are unable to log in, please let HR know and we will assist you.
The Employee Self Service (ESS) program allows employees to access their payroll information. For substitutes, this a a great resource for checking pay stubs and tax information.
In order to set up your WESD email and ESS (personal information), you will need to be logged into a WESD computer in Human Resources or at a school site. Please contact Laurel at 602-347-2619 or Laurel.LaPierre@wesdschools.org.
Employee Self Service (ESS) is a program that is linked with our financial software. Logging into this allows you to access your pay stubs, leave accruals, personal information (such as address, phone number, emergency contacts and certifications). Benefits enrollment is also done here for continuing employees each year.

Find Employee Self Service (on the left side)
Enter your Office 365 Username (network username) and Password (network password)
