This year's ServICE conference was held at NIST and it was quite a memorable experiment. I had made new friends, as well as got to work on an art project to make owl house for baby owls. This project took quite a few tries to get the shape correctly, and we also needed to do a little out of the box thinking in order to make it this way. Overall, the house looked quite cute and we made it a Tangled theme birdhouse.

Baking brownies was a last minute idea that my friends and I had since we wanted to sell something for the booth during Animal Week. We had prepared all the ingredients the night before and baked the brownies, and packaged them. It was a fun experience as well as we learned how to make quality fudge brownies!

Hosting a booth for the color run was a last minute plan as well, as the leader of LOL, we partnered with SerWIS to sell ice cream and energy drinks for the participants that were taking part. At first, we needed to carry the ice box and the drinks all the way from school to the area where this was being hosted at. The driver however, dropped us at the wrong location and so we needed to walk all the way from one end of the park to the other. But in the end, we managed to sell everything and there was some ice cream left, so we decided to donate it to the poor people that lived beside the park.

Growing up with a religious family, I have spent quite a lot of time visiting fire temples in India, when I went to India during the summer, one of the priests there asked me if I wanted to help clean the fire temple with a few other Zoroastrians that I was friends with before I moved countries. I joined the other volunteers and together, we arranged all the holy books, as well as changed the arrangement of all the furniture so that the tables for the prayers could be placed. Unfortunately, not many pictures were able to be taken since pictures are not allowed to be taken inside the prayer hall, some pictures of me shifting some tables outside are placed above!
