Making questions for the math competition was not as easy as I thought it would be as I needed to find questions that majority of the students would know how to solve and then answer those questions too. I think this was a new experience for me as I managed to write down the answers too and the questions were a success.

This activity was part of the ServICE conference, which included taking students on trips, and I went on a trip to a church in order to help them paint their front wall. This opportunity was really interesting as I connected with my community as I was painting the wall and also learned how thankful I am to have so many opportunities, unlike the women in this place who do not have such opportunities.

First we went to a school for deaf children and after visiting the school, we went to a cafe run by deaf employees. We faced a few issues here, especially when we were told that we will be playing games with children. However, the students were our age and the games we had prepared were only suitable for primary school students, so we needed to improvise. Although we faced that issue, it was fun and everyone had a great time.

For prom, we needed to decorate the venue before hand, so my friends and I were in charge of that, and we went in the morning to decorate. We started off by blowing up balloons to place along the stage and then placing the banner for the entrance. I learned that it is not easy to decorate a venue, and working with other people makes it so much easier.

For Wells Without Walls, Paws held a workshop of Cake-pop making to sell at the Farmer's Market. I helped them make these cake-pops and then they ended up selling it! I learned how to make these cake-pops and I think it is a great skill to learn.

During Wells without Walls, LOL held a workshop to teach children about ocean life. I was incharge of this workshop and I planned out some activities like making eco-friendly play dough from flour and taught them how to make sea creatures from it. I also worked with ASL to teach children American Sign Language and those children picked up on it quite quickly.

For the Farmer's Market Booth, LOL decided to sell Blue Hawaii and cookies. Some members of LOL and I made the cookies and organized the booth set up too. We ended up selling all the Blue Hawaii and whatever cookies we had remaining, we donated them to homeless people sitting at the BTS station.

For prom, I was part of the decoration committee which included making decorations and setting up for Prom. I selected the decorations and then painted the stars for the backdrop for prom. I learned how to collaborate with my friends to create something and our decorations turned out to be a success.
