Football

Learning Objectives:

#11

Football was a sport that I wasn't on playing but I had previously played goal keeper, and when had tryouts, I was more atheltic and had a quicker reaction time. I had been trained for goal keeper which gave me an advantage over the other girls, as I knew tricks of not falling hard or injuring myself, as well as learning how to catch hard kicks, how to read the field. As the position of the goal keeper is able to see the whole field, I needed to be vocal of the things I was able to see to be able to tell my teammates, empty areas or for defense places they would likely strike from.

Training for football for only about 2 months, and being able to come second was something no one expected of us, but it was something we achieved by our coaches help and as well our team communication and commitment to be able to go to training. I was chosen captain, mainly because I was confident in myself to be connect everybody together, I was definitely not the best player but I was the vocal as well the best motivator in the team. I believe that being able to take up on a sport that I haven't trained for in 4-5 years, it is incredible how much passion I just have for sports in general. It is also very motivating to be able to keep myself physically active, as being able to play sports, actually helps me become much more active in my studies. As I exercise it helps me take in more oxygen and open new paths for my brain to be able to connect studies to sports.
