You'll find some useful information below that will help you plan your stay in Rio de Janeiro.

Do I need a visa to travel to Brazil?

If you’re travelling from outside of Brazil, please check whether you need a visa to enter the country. You can find the application requirements and required documents here. 

As of April 10, 2025, citizens of Australia, Canada, China and the USA require an eVisa to enter Brazil. You can apply for your eVisa here.

While we will not engage directly with your relevant embassy, we can supply you with a letter confirming you will be attending Web Summit Rio, in order to support your application.

Please note:  It is solely your responsibility to assess and manage your visa requirements. It may take some time for your embassy to process your visa application. Please be sure to request your visa in plenty of time before your anticipated date of travel. Your embassy should be able to give you an idea of average waiting periods for visa processing.

How do I get a letter confirming my attendance?

You can request a letter by logging in to the Web Summit Rio website. To log in, you will need to enter the email address associated with your profile (as specified in your ‘success checklist’ email) and then verify the log in by clicking the single-use authentication link sent to that email address, on the same device.

1. Start by filling out your public profile, if you haven’t already, and select your Topics of interest to complete your profile. Once you're done, click on the 'Complete Profile' and then click here.

2. On the 'Attendee documents' page, click 'Request confirmation letter' and add your details
   (Name, Nationality, Country of residence, Passport number and Date of birth)

3. You will receive your letter shortly after.

NOTE: You can only apply once for this letter, so you must ensure that you enter your information correctly.

I need to include contact details for Web Summit in my visa application. What should I submit?
