What is the Media Village?

The Media Village is your exclusive area at Web Summit Rio! Here we have plenty of desks, wired connectivity, and an area to file copy. There is also catering, with breakfast and lunch served and snacks and beverages available throughout the day.

There are private interview booths in the Media Village where you can interview speakers and other attendees. In the run-up to the event, your success manager will help you coordinate the booking of these booths. 

Exclusive press conferences also take place in the Media Village where you can attend and ask questions to our top speakers.

Is there catering at Media Village?

There is catering in the Media Village. We value seasonality and offer balanced dishes that showcase organic local products. Menus will be displayed at each catering area at the event and will clearly identify dishes that contain gluten, and dairy, and will highlight vegan options.

What do I do if I have a dietary requirement?

If you have any specific dietary restrictions beyond what is covered above, please contact your Media Success Manager as soon as possible and specify your requirements.

Where will my interview take place?

All interviews placed through our interview form take place in the Media Village, where we have dedicated interview booths.

What do the interview booths look like?

Our booths are semi-private spaces designed for interviews. We have 6 2x2m booths and 2 3x3m booths. There is Web Summit branding on the walls. Please note, there may be some noise from the other booths in the area as they are in close proximity.

As a reminder, as the booths are semi-private, there will be some noise levels from other interviews happening in the other booths.

Can I book an interview booth whilst on-site at Web Summit?

Sure! If you have arranged your own interviews outside of our interview request form, you can still book an interview booth in the Media Village when on-site. To do so, you can approach the reception desk at the Media Village where you can book a slot. 

Please note: All bookings are granted on a first come first served basis, so make sure to book as soon as you know the details about the interview.
