Visas

Please be sure to check if you need a visa to enter Brazil. If you require a visa, we recommend applying as soon as you have secured your Web Summit Rio ticket. Keep in mind that this process can take some time. 

Web Summit does not assist with visa applications. However, in order to support your application we can provide a letter confirming your attendance at our event.

Please note: We are unable to refund any tickets on the basis of failure to secure a visa if outside the 'cooling off' period. Please see our Terms & Conditions here.

Letter of attendance / confirmation letter

If needed to support a visa application, each team member assigned a ticket can request their own letter by logging into the Web Summit platform using the email address associated with their ticket.

Once logged in, please go to the Documents section, and click 'Generate confirmation letter'. Then, add your details (name, nationality, country of residence, passport number and date of birth).

You will then receive your letter via email to the email address associated with your ticket.

You can only apply for this letter once so you must enter your information correctly.
