THE MEANING AND PURPOSE
Evaluation is the systematic and objective assessment of an ongoing or completed project, program or policy, its design, implementation and results.
It purposes to determine the relevance and fulfillment of objectives, development efficiency, effectiveness, impact and sustainability.
A program evaluation is the systematic collection of information about the activities, characteristics, and outcomes of programs to make judgments about the program, improve program effectiveness, and/or inform decisions about future programming.
