This is a student centered, anti-bullying program. Students are trained on the skills and tools needed to resolve conflicts, defuse incidents, and support isolated and excluded students in the building. Selection for this leadership group is made through student and staff surveys that seek to identify individuals that have earned the trust of their peers, have good communication skills, and have a strong sense of right and wrong. Meetings occur bi-weekly during A.R.E. time.
The Student Assistance Professional runs a program that aims to help students develop healthy coping skills, make positive lifestyle choices, and avoid substance abuse problems. Services are also provided for students whose lives have been affected by their own or someone else’s use of alcohol and/or other drugs. Some students who use the program are not involved with substances, but are looking for help with a variety of other problems or concerns. For more information please click here!
