Four Year Graduation Plans
Each student graduating from Woodstock Union High School will complete a 4 year graduation plan. Starting at the end of their 8th grade year each student will connect with their counselor and outline the required classes needed to complete the graduation requirements.
Annually students will meet with their counselor to review their graduation plan, review their completed courses and which ones should be taken in the coming years to suit their intended college and career path.

Social Emotional Education is an important component of WUHSMS counseling office.
We conduct individual counseling sessions with each student within each grade level. Small group counseling sessions, classroom guidance, and large group guidance are also established practices.
We also provide referrals to outside community mental health agencies.

College & Career Counseling
College & Career Counseling
Naviance is a comprehensive college and career online program that assists with the college search process and career exploration. Students have the opportunity to explore Naviance alongside their counselor and at home. Parents can also log in information to work alongside their student throughout the college and career exploration period.
Career Exploration in Naviance:
Students have the opportunity to take multiple personality and career interest inventories to development a deeper understand of who they are and how their personality relates to different career paths!
College Exploration in Naviance:
"Supermatch" is a college search tool that creates a report of colleges that match your interests and criteria based on nine elements; location, academics, admissions, diversity, institutional characteristics, cost, student life, athletics, and resources.
"Scattergrams" is another great feature within Naviance. Each college, in their admissions section, has a scattergram highlighting the data of GPA and SAT scores from previously admitted, waitlisted, and denied Woodstock students. This information is beneficial for counselors, students, and parents to review and outline which schools are your safety, target, and reach schools.
