Who is Mrs. Cornwright?

Welcome... welcome... welcome!!!!

I am Courtney Cornwright. I live in Apex with my 15 year old twins, my husband, and my two pups. I graduated from Indiana University in Indiana, taught in NM, then moved to NC to teach 3rd grade. I have been teaching in NC since 2001. I have taught K- 5th grade, was a Math Coach, and a STEM Coach.

Science and Math have always been my passion. I went into teaching to help children learn to love math and science, the way I do. I am excited to join the WYWLA family!

Outside of school, I am also a BSA Scout Leader. I love to sew, read, and travel. My children and I try to go on adventures to new places whenever we can. This year will be a fun adventure for all our 6th grade Owls... and I'm excited to be on this journey together!
