Rising 9th Grade Information

WMS 2024 Timeline for High School Registration 

• Throughout February-  Teachers work on course recommendations

• February 5-9: Ms. Avery visits 8th grade classrooms to give information to students (Click the link if you were absent!)

  • Students should review paperwork with parents before registration day (TBD)

  • Your next school is loaded into Powerschool (important if you applied to an early college or magnet)

• February  21st 6:00pm- Parent Information Night

• March 4- March 15- Transfer request period

• Mid-March- Together with Ms. Avery, 8th graders enter their course selections into Powerschool

While the counselors will deliver some generalized information for all rising WMS 9th graders, it is important that students and families also attend the high school's curriculum fair, as they will share information specific to their school.

Students will register for their CURRENT school assignment at the time of registration.  If their school assignment changes AFTER they register, I will assist with the new school registration.
