Rising 6th Grade Information
Rising 6th Grade Timeline 2024:
-School tours (optional): Perfect for those deciding between WMS or magnet options. Thursdays Nov. 30 through January 25
-February 14th- Middle School counselors get together with Elementary counselors to exchange all necessary information to get ready for our newest wolves! This is when we start getting excited!
-February 19 through March 22, you will receive information on middle school elective options from your elementary counselors. Students and families should review and explore these options together!
-February 22nd- notification of magnet application results
-March 4- March 15- Transfer request period.
-March 12- Some of our larger elementary schools will elect to visit WMS "field trip" style.
-March 12 5:30pm- Rising 6th Grade Orientation event for parents
-Mid-March through Mid-April- Rising 6th graders will enter their elective selections in Powerschool, with the help of their elementary counselors.
-End of August (date TBD)- Wolf Camp- Rising 6th graders will meet their teachers, get their lockers, and learn about middle school
