WCPSS 2024-2025 Middle School Planning Guide

All 7th grade students take 4 core classes:

7th grade ELA

7th grade Science 

7th grade Social Studies

Math 7 / Math 7+ / Math 1*

All students will take Health and Physical Education for one semester, each year of Middle School.

In addition to Health/PE, students take 3 electives per school year. Most electives are semester long, except for Band or Orchestra, which are yearlong electives (so, think of Band/Orchestra as taking up 2 of those 3 electives).

7th Grade Bell Schedule:

8:30-9:00- Homeroom/Wolftime

9:03-10:01- Core subject 1

10:04-11:02- Core subject 2

11:06-11:51- Elective 1 (semester 1)      /  Elective 3 (semester 2)

11:55-12:40- Elective 2 (semester 1)   /   Elective 4 ( Semester 2)                            ONE of these 4 electives will be Health/PE. 

12:43-1:13 Lunch

1:16-2:14- Core subject 3

2:17-3:15- Core subject 4

Elective choices:

We do our absolute best to give students one of their top elective choices. The first week of each semester, students will have the opportunity to request an elective change. Check out our videos showcases some of our great electives!
