Monitor your child's progress through your Parent Portal (PowerSchools) account. This will allow you to see current progress to assess whether your child has missing or late assignments, if they're completing their homework, and how they're performing on assessments. If you need assistance with obtaining access to PowerSchool, please contact Ms. O'Hara, Data Manager, at kohara@wcpss.net.
Your child's teacher is the BEST person to contact because they can provide specific feedback on your child's strengths and areas of need in their specific class. You can contact your child's teacher through email. You can also call the main office (919-570-5600) to leave them a message. You can speak with them via phone, through email, or text messaging (Talking Points), or request a conference.
If your child is struggling in more than one class and you would like to request a conference with more than one teacher, contact your child's assigned counselor to schedule a meeting.
