Wake Forward Focus Area - Year 4

For the 2021-22 School Year, MTAC voted to focus on one area - Use of Space & Time.

A strong school library provides open, flexible access to resources and programming in both the physical and digital library space.

Rationale

As a 21 year old space, the library had begun to show its age. In partnership with the PTSA and a schoolwide beautification initiative, a proposal was drafted through MTAC for a library refresh, to include paint, new flexible use furniture and updated signage and decor.

Partnering with PTSA

The proposal was approved and by the end of the school year, the painting has been completed and the furniture is on order.

This project will continue into the coming school year and will remain a focus of MTAC for the 2022-23 SY.
