A strong school library program is a partnership made up of school leadership, the school community, and led by the school librarian.
Our purpose with Wake Forward is to to take an honest look at the areas that make up our Pine Hollow Library Program, determine which connections are strong and which need strengthening, and then take action to grow and advance our program.
Our Wake Forward assessment shows that our Library Program strengths are in the use of space and time, technology and infrastructure, and equity and cultural competency.
Our results showed that areas of growth include data and privacy, professional learning, and budget and resources.
Our focus in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 was on Professional Learning. Our goal was: MTAC members will facilitate professional development in an effort to educate PHMS staff and students on quality and ethical use of information, research strategies, copyright, and fair use.
For the 2021-2022 school year, our focus is on Equity and on Family/Community Engagement.
