Homework
Mrs. Wilson has chosen to adopt a schoolwide no-homework policy. This isn't April Fools!
After much discussion with classroom teachers, it was determined that what's best for WLE students is to simply read each night. I understand this might be a very controversial decision, and I'd like you consider a few points...
- The daily demands/expectations of our students is MUCH higher than ever before. Kids really do need stress-free down time and family time.
- We lose valuable class time reviewing/checking homework.
- We are teaching work habits and responsibility every day in class.
I will also no longer be requiring parents to initial students' reading minutes.
