Hi! My name is Lorrie Greene. Mrs. Hammond and I are so excited to be a part of the "Cheetah's Kindergarten Team"! Most importantly, we are thrilled to be your teachers. We are going to have so much fun this year, learning lots of new information. We can't wait to get to know each of you, but first, we are going to tell you a few things about ourselves.

I grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and I am the oldest of 3 girls. I love spending time with my family back home! When I graduated from high school, I moved here to Raleigh to attend North Carolina State University...GO PACK! I majored in psychology and got my certification in teaching. I couldn't wait to get my first job teaching.

I have taught kindergarten for 28 years here at Holly Springs Elementary. I love this age because you all are so sweet. I enjoy watching you all grow to be so independent by the end of the school year.

In September, I will have been married to my husband, Jim, for 24 years. He is also a teacher at Holly Grove Middle School. We have 3 crazy and sweet boys. I love my boys and really enjoy spending time with them. We like all kinds of sports, going to the beach, going to the mountains, and just hanging out.

Kathryn Hammond is our instructional assistant.  She grew up in Eastern North Carolina and is the oldest of two girls. She is very close to her family too and sees them often. 

Mrs. Hammond has been in education for 23 years as a school administrator, a high school teacher and now as an instructional assistant.  

She is married to her wonderful husband, Alex Hammond. They have a beautiful daughter, Margaret, who will be going to middle school this year.  She also loves her dog, Daisy, a Chesepeake Bay Retriever.  They enjoy traveling to the beach and to the mountains. 

We can't wait for all of you to join our AWESOME "campground" here in room 208.  This will be a SPECTATULAR year!
