This link will be updated as FVHS becomes aware of more scholarships throughout the year. Please see Mrs. Wood in Student Services or email her at cwood6@wcpss.net if you have any questions. Don't forget to check out all the other scholarship opportunities listed below under HELPFUL SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITES.
In case you want to start preparing early, here is last year's scholarship listing. Please note that not all scholarships posted last year will be offered again this year and that values and eligibility requirements may be different than listed.
Financial Aid
Each WCPSS high school has an assigned Financial Aid Advisor. Our advisor at FVHS is Ms. Tori Sharpe. She can be reached at vsharpe@wcpss.net. Ms. Sharpe is at FVHS on Wednesdays and can schedule an appointment with students and parents to discuss the FAFSA and other financial aid opportunities.
Scholarship Support
Mr. Bob Lee, a retired FVHS employee, serves as a volunteer to assist students with scholarship opportunities and applications. He can be reached at fvhs.scholarships@gmail.com
Any student, regardless of income, who wants to be considered for federal, state, and school financial aid programs must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This includes grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans.
