At the bottom of this page you will find information about programs that we will be running throughout the school year as well as any important announcements. By clicking the button below, you can find your assigned School Counselor based on your last name and more information about our department. You can also read about the role of the School Counselor and the support we can provide.
School Counselors are available during school hours, 7am-3pm. If you need immediate mental health support, you can call the Alliance Health Crisis Response 24-Hour Crisis Hotline at 800-510-9132 or 919-560-7100.

FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE
We have a financial aid advisor at FVHS on Wednesdays. Tori Sharpe is available to meet with students and parents. To make an appointment, please email Mrs. Sharpe at vsharpe@wcpss.net.
Wake Tech CCP
The Career & College Promise (CCP) dual enrollment program allows eligible high school students to take courses at the community college tuition-free.
There will be an FVHS CCP Information Session for students new to CCP on Wednesday, 9/10 in the Media Center during both lunches.
The spring semester CCP enrollment forms for both New and Current CCP students will be available through the ccp.waketech.edu website beginning 9/15. There will be a CCP Application Help Session on Wednesday, 9/17 in room 1309 during both lunches.

Senior Info Night - Tuesday, September 9th (5:30-6:30) FVHS Auditorium
All 12th grade parents/guardians and students are invited to join us at Fuquay-Varina High School for an informational event to learn about planning for after high school. We will be discussing the following topics: applying to college, scholarships and financial aid, sending transcripts, letters of recommendation, AP and CCP/Wake Tech Classes, internships while in high school, ASVAB and the military. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to speak to college admission and military representatives as well as take part in a college admission rep. Q&A panel!

Fall 2025 Schedule Change Requests
ALL requests for schedule changes MUST be submitted through this form: Schedule Change Request Form
Please read all directions on the Schedule Change Request form carefully.
Schedule change requests will ONLY be reviewed for one of the following reasons:
• Failed a course needed for graduation
• Incomplete schedule – to fill a “hole” in the schedule
• Missing a core course required for graduation
• Missing a required prerequisite to take a course
• To increase rigor or address inappropriate level placement
• Previously failed with a scheduled teacher
• Schedule is unbalanced
• To request Senior Early Release
REQUESTS FOR ELECTIVE CHANGES WILL NOT BE GRANTED (unless it reflects an increase in rigor or a prerequisite is missing.)
DUE TO CLASSES BEING FULL AND SCHEDULING CONFLICTS, CHANGES ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE. Students should monitor PowerSchool and their WCPSS Student email accounts for a response to the request. Please allow 7-10 days for requests to be reviewed.
The deadline to submit a schedule change request is August 29, 2025.
