JUNIORS and select SOPHOMORES…
Are you interested in a summer residential program designed to spark your intellectual curiosity? No tests…no grades…lifelong friendships…
Governor’s School is an exceptional summer experience for academically, intellectually and artistically gifted students. The program is held on college campuses and lasts four (4) weeks. Teachers nominate current 11th graders in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Art, Theater, Dance, Choral, and Instrumental Music.. Current 10th graders can only be nominated in Choral Music, Instrumental Music, and Dance. Students may also self-nominate (see Ms. Harrington). There is a rigorous screening process for the applicants since Wake County can send only a limited number of students. View the Eligibility Requirements for NC Governor's School.
Additional information can be found on the official NC Governor’s School website.
Governor’s School INTEREST MEETING (for 10th & 11th grade students): Wednesday, Sept 24th @ 8:00a.m.
Teacher-nominated students do not need to sign up on the form, they will automatically receive passes to the meeting in their email. Any additional junior or sophomore interested in learning more about Governor's School should attend the INTEREST MEETING and must sign up HERE for a pass. We will review details, timeline, and application process.
