Vision & Mission Statements

Vision Statement:

Counselors will deliver a comprehensive program for all students promoting a growth mindset, inclusive atmosphere, and developing skills in critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Using data to drive program development and evaluation, counselors will maximize student potential by actively developing student self-advocacy skills and supporting initiatives to increase awareness of cultural identity.

Our belief is that these mindsets, actions, and programs will foster future opportunity for alumni to pursue productive citizenship, leadership, and positive relationships. These characteristics will build collaborative and inclusive societies while individuals effectively manage future challenges in a complex and changing world.

Mission Statement:

The Cary High School Counseling and Student Services team will foster environments and programs that build trust and inclusive access. From 9th to 12th grade, students will develop skills in communication and collaboration. They will be creative problem solvers and critical thinkers graduating on time, prepared for unique post-secondary pathways.
