This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S. The application typically opens in the fall and closes in January of each year, and is only open to Juniors.
Elon Teaching Fellows Program
Our Elon Teaching Fellows Program is a four-year developmental and transformational scholarship opportunity for the preparation of teachers who will become leaders in the field of education. This includes $30,000 of scholarship funds, in addition to $7,500 of programmatic value, for a total value of $37,500 for this program. Students may apply to the Fellows Programs after they have submitted their application for admission to Elon.
Elon Teaching Fellows participate in purposely designed enrichment experiences such as two winter term travel courses, a faculty-mentored inquiry project, and a full semester abroad of study in New Zealand which includes a five-week internship in a local school.
North Carolina Teaching Fellows Program
Elon University is one of the eight partner institutions for the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program. This competitive program provides merit-based forgivable loans of $8,250 a year for up to four years to highly-qualified students committed to teaching special education or a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) field in a North Carolina public school.
