I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year at Barton Pond!🐸
This will be my eighth year teaching third grade. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!🎩), I moved back to Virginia to pursue my Masters in Education at George Washington University. I spent 4 years teaching in Arlington, Virginia before moving to Raleigh.
I grew up in Waterford, Virginia, where I met my husband. I have a 6 month old named, Nora, who keeps me busy in my free time!
One of my favorite things about third grade is the shift from learning to read to reading to learn. This year, I aim to support and celebrate your child's growth in all subjects. I look forward to connecting, collaborating and creating long-lasting memories with the staff, students and community at Barton Pond! 💙💚
