Hey There!

My name is Alli Sloate. I am very excited to begin my third year at Barton Pond. I joined BPES after teaching  in Lee County for many years. There I was honored to be the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year at BT Bullock Elementary. 

I was born and raised in North Carolina. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from UNC Wilmington. After that, I earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education, with a focus in Reading from NC State University. I have been blessed to have many different experiences throughout my 15 years of teaching. I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I have served as an academically gifted teacher as well as an interventionist. Teaching is my passion. I love helping students reach their full potential!
