All About Mrs. G

I am very excited to be part of the Barton Pond Elementary staff! I am originally from Gainesville, Florida but have lived in the Raleigh area since 1995. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education and have taught in Wake County for the last 30 years. I have taught 2nd-4th grades with third grade being my absolute favorite! I am also a National Board certified teacher and love learning new ways to meet the needs of students in the classroom.

My oldest son Andrew recently graduated from UNC Charlotte and is employed by LPL Financial . My younger son Ryan is a junior at the University of Utah. I enjoy spending time with my family, attending live theatre, reading, and traveling to the beach and the mountains for vacation.

I look forward to meeting everyone and working together to build a fabulous classroom community.
