I grew up in New Bern, NC and attended UNC Chapel Hill for my degree in elementary education. This is my 9th year teaching kindergarten. I absolutely love our school! I love reading, going to the beach, crafting and baking. I have one siamese cat and a dog!

Born in Izmir, Turkey I emigrated to Ohio in high school. I attended Columbus College of Art & Design and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. I received my teaching certification in 2003 and taught middle school ESL/ELA in Turkey. I worked as a substitute teacher in Ohio, and as an assistant in the School Age & Youth Programs of the Air Force in Florida and California. My husband retired as a Master Sargeant from the Air Force. He now works in talent acquisiton as a recruiter. We have a 15 year old son, a dog and 2 cats. We love the woods and the beach. This is my 6th year at our wonderful school. Kindergarten is my favorite!
