Originally from Houston, Texas, I've spent most of my childhood in Syracuse, New York. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Upon completion of my M.Ed in Reading Education from the University of Pittsburgh,  I moved to North Carolina, where I've enjoyed living and teaching. This will be my 12th year teaching Kindergarten at Alston Ridge and my 14th year in Education. My husband and I welcomed our first child, Claire, on January 17, 2024. I love being a mom. reading, being at the pool/beach, and spending time with our rescued dog, Cooper!

I am a North Carolina native. I currently live in north Raleigh. I attended the University of Mount Olive majoring in Early Childhood Education. 

I believe in  positivity and understand that it is one of the most essential parts of the learning process.
