I grew up in Smithfield, North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education. This will be my sixth school year at Alston Ridge! I absolutely love our school and Kindergarten team! My husband and I have a daughter and a dog that we love so much! I love to read, travel and spend time with my family and friends.

My name is Maha Manikkam. I am from Mumbai, India and have a degree in Economics. After 16 years as a Software Engineer in Boston, we moved to Cary, NC and I decided to pursue my passion for teaching. I have taught Kindergarten and Technology at Cardinal Charter Academy and moved to Alston Ridge Elementary School 5 years ago.  I love spending any free time with my husband, 2 kids and my german shepherd Ziva.
