♥😎Canadian Monument😎♥
For our Canadian monument we decided to do a shield to symbolize bravery. We believe Canadians demonstrate this quality as we stand up or what we believe in and for the rights and freedoms of people around the world. This is true today and throughout history. The arm to symbolizes the strength of the Canadians being strong. The heart symbolizes love of Canadians and the feeling of hope we have for family and friendship as a community and as a nation.
Our monument will be made out of granite because it’s very strong and strength is one of our main symbols.
We decided that our monument will will be in Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls. We chose to put it in Niagara Falls because we thought that in Niagara Falls one of the most courageous things that someone has done was walking across a tightrope over the falls. And we decided to do it in Queen Victoria park because that is the biggest park in Niagara Fall and the only one.
TinkerCad
First for our Tinkercad monument we didn’t know how to find a shield so we asked a classmate and he helped us on Tinkercad to import shapes. Then we used some different shapes such as cylinders and hemispheres to make the arm. Then on our design we add hearts on different sides of the shield! After we got the arm we wanted to make it so that people will know what our monument is so we put the word courage on it. Then the last part of our monument, adding 2 swords witch was easy because we just found then off tinkercad and inserted them under the shield. We had a little difficulty making sure all our elements were layered properly on the design. We wanted the swords to pop out from the shield and it was a challenge to place them where we wanted. This reminded us about how important it is to be precise when designing.
