Actions allow you to automate some tasks in Photoshop by recording what you do and letting you play it back again. This is very useful for repetitive tasks.
Part 1. Create an Action
We'll build 1) a Dodge and Burn Layer Action and 2) a Dark Vignette Action together in class but the instructions are available below for three useful Actions with instructions - three level Color Correction Action, a Dodge and Burn Layer Action and a High Pass Filter Action - from an article in Rangefinder called "Actions."
When you're done and the Actions are saved, take a screen shot of the Layers Panel and the Actions Panel and post it on your web site as "Exercise10 ".
Part 2. Download and install an Action
Panos FX has a lot of freebie actions. It also has a ton of advanced Actions for sale, too.
Go to PanosFX.com and find the free section under Downloads in the navigation bar.
Download the "Border and Bend" actions (you can choose to do another one, too.)
Unzip the files and store them in the"Actions" folder in your Photoshop Toolkit
Load the actions in Photoshop.
Locate a file you want to use with the Action.

Post a screenshot of the image, the Layers panel and the Actions panel on your web site as Exercisie 10.
