Start gathering images to use as textures in Photoshop projects.
For this exercise:
First
Take pictures at home or at school
Shoot, at least twenty different images to use as "textures" in your projects;
Put the images in a folder called "Textures" on your portable hard drive.
Second: We'll do this part in class together.
Create a new Lightroom catalog and import the texture images. ( if you don't have images of your own, do the exercise with mine, for now, and add yours later.)
Add the keyword "texture" to the images on import;
Add the files to a collection called "Textures F23" on import.
Create a Smart Collection using the keyword "texture;"
When you have twenty that you like, make a new Lightroom collection called Top 20 Textures.
Create a Contact Sheet in Lightroom and post it to your class web site as Exercise 3
Third step
Show me the Smart Collection in Lightroom with the keywords and the Contact Sheet on your web site so you get the 10 points for the exercise.
Import your images into your Lightroom catalog.
Add the keyword "texture" to the images on import;
Create a Smart Collection using the keyword "texture";
When you have 5 that you like, make a new Lightroom collection called "PHO228 Textures".
Add your Photoshop-made textures to two of your images and post to Exercise 3 of your web site
Create a Photo Carousel of your textures and post it to your class web site as Exercise 3.
