School has definitely changed a lot in the past 30 years, especially with all the modern technology we have now. What was school like in the '90s? In the 90's, technology was quickly changing. The technology kept getting more and more advanced, by the day. In 1991, the SmartBoard was first introduced. It was a huge deal at the time(1). Fashion also was a big part of school life in the 1990s. Everyone wanted to keep up with the latest fashion trends, kinda like today(2). School accountability also increased a lot during this time. Schools were now held more responsible for their students' test scores. Test scores were starting to be used as a reflection on how the school was teaching its students. The amount of funding schools were getting rose during this decade as well. Schools were getting more money, each year than ever before(3). Popularity was and still is a huge deal in high school life. Everyone wanted to be the most "popular", most well known amongst their peers(4). In conclusion, school in the '90s was an evolutionary time.
