Gag me with a spoon- It was used to show that you are disgusted by something you have seen/ smelt etc.

No Duh- The word “duh” had been used to express bewilderment or ignorance since the 70’s, but adding “no” to the front created a sarcastic expression that points out the obvious.

BOD- As a gym rat in the ‘80s, it wasn’t enough to have a nice body. You had to have a great bod.

Not even- It is a quick way of saying, “I think you’re wrong, but I’m too lazy to get into a whole thing where I list the reasons why.” With this saying the conversation is officially over.

Barf Me Out- Believe it or not it can be used for being disgusted but it is more typically used as freaking out or having a surge of nerves. “Barf out” is used for “freak out” and “barf me out” for a sign of contempt and disgust.

Chill Pill- It was coined that in the early ‘80s, when ADHD was first becoming recognized and medication for it was being tested. They were unofficially called chill pills since they were taken to calm hyperactive people, and even if you didn’t have ADHD you might be advised to take one if you were being a spaz.

Gnarly- It was coined in the 1970s but kids were still saying it in the '80s. 'Gnarly' pretty much means 'sick' and 'cool' maybe even 'choice'.

Tubular- To be tubular--or better still, totally tubular  is to be remarkable and breathtaking. Yet it is another example of the surfer slang that dominated the '80s.
