Clever

West Bridgewater Pubic Schools has partnered with Clever to provide a single sign-on (SSO) portal for its teachers and students. This system will allow you to easily use an ever-growing list of applications with one login! All you need is your Google Email and password and Clever handles the rest.

Visit http://clever.com/in/westbridgewater and you will be taken to the following login screen. Click the "Log in with Google" button and then enter your Google account information.

If you have created badges for your students, students should click the badge login button and have the student hold their badge in front of their chromebook camera (more info on badges below)

Once you are in Clever, you will see your own Dashboard. From here, you can create your own collection of resources (websites) for your students to access, resources that only you can see, as well as resources that have been pushed out by the district.

District Managed Applications

Apps that are managed by the district include IXL, ST Math, BrainPop, Star and Pearson. These apps are located at the lower part of your Clever Dashboard

Apps with SSO and Rostering

There are several apps that are configured to sync students nightly, as well as all of your classes. The following apps currently support SSO and Rostering

  • ST Math

  • BrainPOP, Jr

  • BrainPOP

Your students should already be in the app, and organized by class. If a new student gets added to your class, please allow 24 hours for that student to show up, as it will sync again in the evening.

Occasionally, a student will not be able to login for the first time. This usually means there is an issue with their schedule, or their primary email is incorrect in Aspen. If you beleive this is the case, please contact John Collins to have it looked at.

Students and Teachers can only access these apps through Clever. Accessing the site directly will result in an error,

Apps that support SSO Only

At the current time, Discovery Education is the only app we use that has SSO only. This means that all of the students are pushed into the App, but they are not organized by class. You will need to set this up manually (if the app supports it).

Students and Teachers can only access these apps through Clever. Accessing the site directly will result in an error,

Apps that only save passwords

The following apps DO NOT SYNC with Aspen nightly. Upon clicking on the app, students will be prompted to enter their usernames and passwords that have been setup manually in the App. This will only have to be done the first time. It will save the username and password and will not have to be entered again unless it gets changed directly within the app.

  • Pearson

  • Aspen

  • Destiny

  • Epic!

  • Socrative

  • Overdrive

  • Scratch

  • TurnItIn

  • Xtra Math

These apps can be accessed directly, or through Clever. These are in here as a means to have all of your apps and resources in one place.

Creating your own learning space

Clever also has the ability for you to create your own list of websites and resources that students can access.

At the top of your dashboard you will see 3 pages. Click on the page to enter your classroom area.

Along the left, you will see all of your students from all of your classes. If you have younger students, you can click "Login Tools" and download QR codes for each student. Students can use the badges to login with their chromebook camera.

To add a resource, click the Add button, and select app or Link. Note that adding an app, will only provide a link to that resource. It does not necessarily mean that it will automatically roster or proved SSO for that app.

To customize your individual classes, click "Classes" along the blue banner at the top of the page. You will see a list of all of the courses on your schedule

Click on one of your classes and you will be taken to a screen that shows your roster, as well as student contact information.

When students log in, they will see all of the classes in which teachers have setup in Clever, as well any any resources they have permission to see. For example, 12th grade students are not setup to see IXL, but grade 5 students are.
