Veggie Car Races

For our final meeting this year, we invited all three groups to our final meeting for the speical Veggie Car Races! The veggies this year were purchased, but in years past, slightly bruised veggies have been donated.

To begin, students partnered up and talked about how they were going to build their veggie car. Students had the options between carrots, cucumbers, and corn.

For the wheels, we used pine wood durby sets from the Boy Scout's website.

After students designed their cars, they headed over to the track. Four groups were able to race at a time. Students observed how their car did, and then were able to make changes to help make their car faster!
