For this part of Team Pursuit's projects with maps students added themselves to different places! First, Students drew pictures of the world and of the United States of America during art class. Next, students created a Wisconsin project on their iPads using Keynote...they were given an outline of the state of Wisconsin and added in shapes of things they find in Wisconsin and a photo of them! After that, students received a GPS picture of the location of their home in West Allis from Mrs. Schaefer and Ms. O'Connor.
Later on, Team Pursuit students visited the Franklin Makerspace to get their picture taken in front of the green screen. Then Mrs. Kosinski taught them how to add their green screen photo to their artwork/technology projects! Finally, students put together all of their photos using iMovie and recorded their voice to explain to viewers where they were!

Team Pursuit K5/1st graders are creating a "Me on the Map" project. Part of their project was to create a map of West Allis, Wisconsin! In their map they included their homes, gas stations, restaurants, stores, Franklin School, and other places you'd find in our community! After creating their map students drove a Sphero (codable robot) throughout their West Allis map and shared where the robot was!
