Health Science is a course that is aligned with IVY Tech for dual credit, our course must also align with their response plans. These can be a bit different from WCSC because of the environment students participate in during this Health Science and clinical rotations. Attached is a link to the COVID requirements for Health Science students to receive dual credit. The document is also posted below.
Letter to Schools - COVID K-14 Health Sciences - August 2021.pdfAs of August 12, 2021 students are required to have a completed COVID vaccine series (Johnson & Johnson 1 dose, Pfizer or Moderna 2 doses) to receive dual credit. Students can apply for exempts at the following link and will all be through IVY Tech and not Wawasee.

Students are considered volunteers and with that consideration, facilities are not required to permit students to enter their facilities no matter of exemption status.
Students will not be permitted to enter healthcare facilities without full vaccination status.
Without being able to attend clinical rotations, a requirement of the Indiana State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant program, students will not be able to become certified. They will still obtain all the same instruction in class that will benefit any students pursuing further education after the Health Science course.
