Certified Nursing Assistant

Throughout this course, students will be required to obtain and document a total of

30 classroom hours

80 clinical hours

---48 hours are in class working with manikins

---32 hours are in the field outside of school working in the nursing homes


Your clinical site will be assigned with your home location taken into account.

Supply List

Pre-admission packet completed, with consents signed by parent/guardian

Students will need a personal email for this course

  • 2 pairs of scrub pants - BLACK

  • 2 scrub shirts - BLACK

  • 1 - 60 inch gait belt - look on amazon

  • 100 lined small notecards

  • 1 notecard holder or coupon holder

  • Close-toes black rubber-soled gym shoes

  • Hair ties (hair should always be off shoulders)

  • Updated Vaccines - must receive current year influenza vaccine - to attend a day at the hospital COVID vaccine

  • Current health physical

  • State-issued Identification (driver's license, or ID) school ID is NOT sufficient

Please feel free to print prior to the start of class. Recommend to only print pages 1-153, do not need to print Appendix A of the curriculum.

Each student will be given a folder to be kept in class with the following in documents in:

  • Parent/Guardian Consent

  • Application

  • Pre-admission Testing

  • Background Check Consent with Background Results

  • TB test form

  • Physical form (current school year athletic physical is allowed)

  • 2 - References

  • COVID Vaccine Record

  • Vaccination Record
