Introduction to Health Care Careers

The following are guidelines to help you be successful in your dual credit IVY Tech HLHS 100, Introduction to Health Care Careers.

Health care is a business that requires all to work as a team - health care team. We will learn to rely on each other to help with achieving the objectives of this class.

1. Timely - in assignments

2. Attendance - YOU are responsible for making up your assignments. If the classroom door is closed when you arrive, you will be sent to the attendance office if you do not have a pass from another teacher. No emailing or texting the instructor. Plan ahead.

   1. Days a student is absent, the student is responsible to follow up on the notes from class in google classroom. Complete any assignments from the missed class.

3. A team member will be

   1. Productive

   2. Constructive

   3. Informative

   4. Professional

4. Communication - Respectful at all times.

   1. Communication should be made by using Google Classroom or email.

   2. Communication will be professional.

5. Electronics

   1. Everyday school-issued electronic devices need to be with each team member.

   2. NO cell phones - They will be taken away for the class period - also will count against your group work/participation score for that class. If they are sitting out they will be taken away for the class period. No cell phones use will be tolerated. Breaks only.
