Career/Technical Programs

Not college bound? Make sure you check out our CTE page for training programs we have within our school day! You can get certified in a career before you even graduate from high school.

If you are a Senior that has already explored our CTE options and you are interested in a training/technical program or the work-force, start your search here:

1. Job Corps - The nation's largest Free residential education and job training program for young adults ages 16–24. Look at South Bend's Job Corp information here.

2. Next Level Jobs - Indiana's website to match you with training programs and companies within our state.

Starting in fall 2018, ALL Hoosiers with a high school diploma are eligible for the Workforce Ready Grant through Governor Holcomb’s Next Level Jobs Initiative! The Workforce Ready Grant allows students to earn a certificate in Indiana’s highest demand job sectors—tuition-free! Additionally, these programs typically count towards an associate degree. The Workforce Ready Grant pays for many high-demand certificate programs, including practical nursing, dental assisting, welding, and automotive service technology (see here). Students just need to file the FAFSA to be considered. Even students who missed the April 15th FAFSA deadline are eligible! To get connected with an eligible program, students can visit www.NextLevelJobs.org and click on “I’m a Next Level Job Seeker.” After completing the short questionnaire, Ivy Tech Community College or Vincennes University will reach out to the student to help them enroll. If you have any questions, please visit www.NextLevelJobs.org or email NextLevelJobs@che.in.gov.
