SLIDESHOW

To the left is the only slideshow you will need. Everything that will be presented to you is in this slideshow. If you are absent you should be able to find a good summary within this slideshow but understand that you will miss valuable demonstrations and work time.

PROJECTS & GRADES

  • Find the most up to date information regarding project instructions and deadlines

  • This is where photos of finished work and written reflections are turned in

  • I promise to provide feedback on the amazing things you’ve done and how to continue to grow as an artist

  • Powerschool is the best place to find the official grade given on a project or assignment

  • Feedback is found in the overall and project comments

  • If you have any questions on the final grade that was given, I highly encourage you to come talk to me and we can discuss why it was given and how to improve it

HOW DO I GRADE ART?

PRODUCTIVITY : Did you focus and finish?

COLLABORATION : Did you work with others?

LEARNING : Did you challenge yourself to learn?

RESPECT : Did you show kindness to others?

You will critique your project and work ethic after every project and it provides more thorough expectations within the four categories above. As long as you work hard, finish your projects and turn them in, you should get an easy A.

HOW DO I PLAN?

Start with the layout below and adjust as needed.

  • Do you understand the assignment?

  • Brainstorm written ideas

(Think about how they could be shown visually)
  • Create thumbnail sketches

(Quick with no details – only shapes and lines)
  • Get feedback and take notes from peers or teacher

  • Find reference images

Preferably you will take your own reference photos.
  • Do at least one larger and more detailed sketch

  • Get more feedback and begin on the final version
