Steve and I on top of the city wall in Xi'an, China
Here I am preparing for the Olympics at age 7
Mr. Schmidt and me on twin day!
Hi everyone! My name is Leah Maroni-Wagner and I am the Librarian.
This is my 6th year at Watertown Middle School. I live in Wayland with my husband Steve and 2-year-old daughter Sophie (we live 5 minutes away from Mr. Martin!). When I'm not evaluating my research sources, unjamming printers, or geeking out about the latest Jason Reynolds book, I like to spend time with my family, make stuff on my sewing machine (badly), annoy Mr. Schmidt in the Makerspace, go to the beach, practice yoga (also badly) and do crossword puzzles. One other thing that you may not know about me is that I lived in Granada, Spain for one year and Beijing, China for four years! If you know any Spanish or Chinese, I'd love to practice with you!
At school, I help students learn how to research effectively and evaluate their sources. I also help students find their next favorite book to read. My happiest moments are when I can help a struggling reader find a book that they love! If you have a question about research, books or anything really, shoot me an email at leah.maroniwagner@watertown.k12.ma.us. I'm here to help. Also, don't forget to visit the Library webpage at www.wmslibrary.org!
