My name is Ms. Stern and I teach Art for Grades 6, 7 & 8. Many of you already know me, but for those who don't, I look forward to getting to know you as artists and people this coming year!

This is my 5th year at WMS. One of my favorite things about our school is that I get to see my students for all 3 years they are at WMS. I love getting to see you get older, wiser and taller in that time!

I come from a family of teachers and have loved making art for as long as I can remember. Getting to help you improve as artists makes everyday exciting to me. As an artist myself I love to create drawings, paintings and prints. But I also love learning techniques and forms of art making. The creativity and talent I see from you in classes inspires me and sometimes takes my art in new directions.

When I am not teaching or making art, I love to spend time cooking, sewing, exercising, reading, playing guitar and hanging out with my friends and family.

I am so excited to be your 8th Grade Art Teacher this year! I can't wait to see what you create, hear your ideas, and see you continue to improve as you learn new art skills.
