Middle School Me!
Hello! I’m Karen MacAulay, science teacher in Cluster 4, 7th grade. We are going to work together this year to bring out the budding scientist in you all!
I have been teaching science at Watertown Middle School for over sixteen years! Before that, I taught at Middle Schools in Gloucester & Dracut, at Newton Country Day School and at an English school in Japan. I love working with students from all over and I’m excited to meet you all, hear your thoughts about our ever-changing world and explore the science happenings all around us.
I have always loved school and science (and math and reading)! I studied biology at Williams College and other than a few years spent working at an environmental testing lab in Seattle, I have spent my career in the classroom. My hope is to infuse you all with some excitement and appreciation for science and our environment, because science really does matter in our world. Let’s find out about cool and astonishing phenomena together!
