MS. MCDONAGH

Hi there! I am Ms. McDonagh and I am the 7th grade English Language Arts teacher in Cluster 4.

I am originally from beautiful Portland, Oregon. I moved East to attend graduate school at Boston College and ended up meeting my husband and making my home here.

Ever since I was little I just loved words and story-telling. I even attempted to write a novel when I was in third grade! Funny thing is that I wasn't a big reader until I got to middle school, then I just dove into the world of books and eventually became an ELA teacher.

Over the years, I have had some wonderful opportunities to travel, study, and work with schools in other countries, including South Africa, Thailand & Vietnam, Honduras, Belgium, and France.

The best chapter of my life began when I became a mom! I now focus most of my time with my son, Liam. I also like to do yoga, read, swim, cook and spend time a the beach. But...most of my free time these days is at the rink watching my son play hockey.

I am so looking forward to getting to know all about you. I can't wait to hear what you like to read and taking the journey together as you find your voice through your writing. It's going to be a great year!
