1. As a student, how can I meet with my counselor?
Stop by your counselor's office before/after school or during lunch
Email your counselor
Make an appointment with them online (see above)
Visit the front office and speak with a secretary
Students WILL NOT be able to visit with their counselor during class time without a pass/communication from their teacher.
2. As a caregiver, how can I meet with my student's counselor?
Call the office at (319) 433-2400 and request to speak with your student's counselor

3. What do I do if my counselor is unavailable when I need to speak with them?
Stop in the front office and speak with a secretary to let them know what you would like to discuss with your counselor
If it is an emergency, please let the counseling secretary or another counselor know and they will help to the best of their ability

Confidentiality Statement
Your confidentiality and privacy as a student is important to us as school counselors. What you tell us will never be repeated unless you reveal information on harming yourself, harming others, situations of being physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, or we are required by the court or legal proceedings to do so. If there is ever a need to reveal information, we will ensure that you are aware of this and we will work with you to handle the situation in a way that respects you, your feelings, and your needs.
